Description

AISIN PSRFD-00071 manual (non-power) steering rack and pinion assembly. Outer tie rod ends and mounting bushings are not included. It ships in an AISIN carton labeled "Power Steering Rack", but this unit has no hydraulic ports or lines and is a manual rack. Fits Ford Mustang II 1974 to 1978, Ford Pinto 1974 to 1980 and Mercury Bobcat 1975 to 1980; replaces Ford D9FZ3504B. Also used in Mustang II front-end swaps. Part number PSRFD-00071 is laser-etched on the housing; the bag label also reads AIS-PSR00071. Cast aluminum housing with two round mounting eyes. Maker's spec: 9/16-26 spline input shaft, about 45 in overall length. Inner tie rods installed, with jam nuts and thread caps on the ends. AISIN installation manual included.
