Description

Aftermarket timing chain overhaul kit for the GM 2.4L Ecotec engine with variable valve timing. The timing set at its core is GM 12680750; interchange 9-4201S, 9-4201SX and C6209S. It is not a GM-boxed kit. Contents: two timing chains, four chain guides, tensioner shoe, hydraulic chain tensioner, crankshaft sprocket, two balance shaft / oil pump sprockets, dowel pins and guide pivot. Also includes the water pump with its gasket, shaft seal and O-ring, a full engine gasket set with the multi-layer steel head gasket, and a head bolt set of 14 bolts: 10 long and 4 short. The kit further includes two GM camshaft position actuators (variable valve timing phasers), part numbers 12655420 and 12655421, and the two matching camshaft actuator solenoid valves. Most timing kits do not include these. There is no oil pump in the kit. Fits the 2.4L Ecotec engine, GM engine codes LAF, LEA and LUK: Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain 2010-2017, Buick Verano 2012-2017, Buick Regal 2011-2017, Buick LaCrosse 2012-2016, Chevrolet Malibu 2013-2016 and Chevrolet Captiva Sport 2012-2015. Check your engine code before buying. It does not fit the earlier 2.0L or 2.2L Ecotec, or the 2.4L without variable valve timing. Every piece is in its original sealed bag, box or wrap.
