Description

MISSING: the ball joint's grease fitting. The threaded port in the underside of the joint housing is empty. It takes a standard 1/4-28 grease zerk, which costs about a dollar anywhere. No cotter pin is included either - the stud nut is on the stud. FITS 2WD (RWD) TRUCKS ONLY. This is the 2-wheel-drive lower arm; 4WD models take a different one. MOOG RK620264 front right (passenger side) lower control arm, with the ball joint already installed. Fits 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500, plus the 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic and Sierra 1500 Classic. CONDITION. The arm has never been fitted to a vehicle. The ball joint rivets are factory-set and undisturbed, the stud taper has no witness marks from a knuckle, and the moulded shipping cap is still on the stud. The ball joint has no free play - no slack spot, no click, no gritty catch. There is surface rust bloom on the four bare rivet heads and on the ends of the bushing inner sleeves, plus handling scuffs in the black coating. The arm is straight with no pitting, and the bushing rubber is sound with no cracks and no separation from the sleeves. The arm is printed MOOG RK620264 and Z3223124, the boot is a MOOG 73033, and the MOOG bag label reads 15126197-R. It came out of an opened MOOG bag - no box and no paperwork. The lower control arm locates the bottom of the front wheel and carries the ball joint the steering knuckle pivots on. A worn one clunks over bumps, wanders under steering and scrubs the front tires unevenly.
