Description

BOXI front driveshaft (propeller shaft) assembly for the 2006 Jeep Commander 3.7L, the 2005-2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7L, and the 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee 6.1L SRT8 - 4-door with automatic transmission. The 6.1L is 2006 only; there was no SRT8 in 2005. This is the FRONT shaft, so it is a four-wheel-drive part - it carries drive from the transfer case to the front axle. BOXI part number BX04400052-1. The tube is marked BO3243. It replaces OEM part numbers 52105758AB, 52105758AD and 52105758AE, and cross-references 938126. One-piece steel tube in black anti-corrosion paint. The front end is a constant-velocity joint under a ribbed rubber boot, ending in a round six-bolt flange; the rear end is a universal joint with a four-bolt flange yoke. Measured overall length is 32.5 inches, from the front flange face to the tip of the rear yoke. The front flange is 4 inches across and the tube is 2 inches across. Mounting hardware is included: six socket-head bolts and three curved retaining straps, the complete set for the six-hole front flange. The four-bolt rear flange yoke reuses the bolts already on the axle, so none are supplied for that end - that is normal for this part. Unused. It came out of an opened factory poly bag, both flange faces are machined-bright with no bolt marks or wear, and the boot is uncut with its factory clamps still fitted.
