FITS 2WD TRUCKS ONLY. The four-wheel-drive versions of these trucks use a recirculating-ball steering gear box instead of a rack, so this will not fit a 4WD. Please check which one your truck has before buying. Never installed, and never bench tested or run with fluid. There is no retail box, and the assembly itself carries no stamped or printed part number. KAX hydraulic power steering rack and pinion assembly, manufacturer model 4759PSP162NUS. Interchanges with part number 22-1036, and replaces OE numbers 19207489, 19153072, 19133648, 19133646, 19153073, 19178559, 19207491 and 19153074. Fits 2WD Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab and Extended Cab 2007-2011, and 2WD GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab and Extended Cab 2007-2013, with the 4.3L V6 or the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L or 6.2L V8. Compare against your existing part before buying. Complete assembly, with both inner tie rods and both bellows boots already fitted. The bellows are intact with their clamps seated in their grooves, the blue plugs are still in both fluid ports, there are no wrench marks on the tie rod jam nuts, the mounting bushings are unmarked, and it is completely dry. Also included: the folded installation booklet and a new pair of work gloves. The rack and pinion is the steering gear itself: the steering wheel turns its input shaft, and hydraulic assist from the power steering pump helps it push the tie rods that steer the front wheels. It is the part you replace when the steering wanders or clunks, when fluid leaks from the gear, or when a torn boot has let grit into the rack.
